Aligned Or Connected?

三节不明,浑身是空
When the three sections are not understood, the whole body is empty.

The three sections points to the upper, middle and down parts of the body.

Proper straight alignments is the first training aimed to grasp the issues linked to the three sections.

Down are the roots, in the middle is the engine (the waist) and up the mast.

Roots ground, the engine directs and connects and the mast balances.

Misaligning the roots to work on balance, the mast to enhance grounding, the engine for the ballast and a whole body connection.

Aligned without being aligned points to external and internal alignments.

External alignment is a matter of orientation of each section toward the others.

Internal alignment is question of elasticity and connectivity of the fascia lines.

Locks are the first step to understand elasticity and internal alignment, the Swaying Fist its embodiment.
